The Consumer on the platform is an Entity which consume's, Provider’s applications and Services. This could be Enterprises, Startups, Universities who have a specific business / functional problem that is solved by the Producer’s or the Platforms applications and services. Consumers will subscribe to applications, data, processing, storage, models, APIs etc. on the platform. The Consumer uses the platform as Software as a Service (SaaS) or as Data Platform as a Service (DPaaS)

The Platform envisions numerous Actors within the Consumer organization with associated roles and privileges. Some of the important Actors are described below

  • Consumer Data Scientist
  • Defines the analytical model using the Analytical Model Management Feature provided in the Bristlecone NEO® Platform
  • Programs & Trains the analytical model using Jupyter Notebook Instances provided in the Bristlecone NEO® Platform
  • Consumer Data Engineer
    • Organizes the data in the Data Lake and configures Data Pipelines
    • Define Data Organizations for an application
    • Configure Data Dictionary, Data Profiling & Data Pipelines
    • Schedule and Trigger Data Pipeline  
    • Monitor status of any Data Pipeline  
    • Consumer Business Analyst
    • Analyze the business problem and provide domain expertise to build applications on the platform that addresses functional areas of supply chain management.
    • Interfaces with the Platform's Cloud Ops to deploy applications in customer account and facilitate Platform usage
    • Schedule and Trigger Data Pipeline  
    • Monitor status of any Data Pipeline  

         A member of the Consumers Data organization responsible for Enterprise data aggregation, storage and processing.
